Program management

MTU has stakes in commercial and in military engine programs. These programs are directed by program management teams that accompany the individual European and transatlantic engine projects throughout the entire product life cycle – from the initial concept to the end of the product's service life.

Program management is responsible for ensuring the economic success of a program and for setting up new cooperative ventures with partner companies. Job requirements are multifaceted and include areas such as market analyses, strategy, marketing, sales, planning, quality, cost and contract management. Program management negotiates with other partners involved in the program and also with customers (airlines or government agencies).

MTU's program management teams are comprised of specialists with strong technical and interpersonal skills who feel at home also in an international environment. Main responsibilities include overall program analysis and direction. This requires special technical-scientific and commercial administrative skills.
