Ceramic Coating Center S.A.S.

The Ceramic Coating Center (CCC) is a joint venture for high-tech coatings between MTU Aero Engines and France’s Safran Aero Engines. The partners each hold a 50 percent stake in the company for state-of-the-art and innovative coatings, which was founded in 1999.

As an extended workbench, the Ceramic Coating Center supplies MTU locations with high-performance ceramic thermal barrier coatings on turbine components produced using the high-tech electron beam physical vapor deposition (EB-PVD) process.

Every year, the Ceramic Coating Center coats around 80,000 vanes and blades.

The site continues to grow to meet the needs of customers in the coming years. A new building with 3,000 square meters of space will be inaugurated in 2024. More than 120,000 parts per year can then be coated.
