Ceramic Coating Center (CCC) is a joint venture for high-tech coatings. It was set up in 1999 by MTU Aero Engines and French engine maker Snecma (SAFRAN group). Both companies hold a 50-percent stake in the company that specializes in the deposition of highly advanced and innovative coatings.
As a supplier to MTU’s various locations, Ceramic Coating Center provides turbine parts with high-performance ceramic thermal barrier coatings using the highly capable "electron-beam physical vapor deposition" (EB-PVD) technique.
Each year, Ceramic Coating Center coats around 80,000 blades and vanes for its parent companies and other customers.
