MTU Aero Engines' consortium memberships
MTU is a partner in several engine program management companies, for example the International Aero Engines AG (IAE) consortium for the V2500 engine in the commercial area and Eurojet Turbo GmbH for the EJ200 Eurofighter engine, Turbo-Union Ltd. for the Tornado's RB199 engine, MTU Turbomeca Rolls-Royce GmbH for the MTR390 and MTU Turbomeca Rolls-Royce ITP GmbH for the MTR390 Enhanced as well as Europrop International GmbH (EPI) for the TP400-D6 for the A400M military airlifter in the military sector.
In these arrangements, the consortium operates as an umbrella entity coordinating and managing a specific engine program.
