CFRP structures

The abbreviation CFRP stands for carbon-fiber reinforced plastics. CFRP structures with a carbon-fibre/plastic matrix are, for example, blades, rings or casings. The weight of CFRP components is much less than that of metal components, and shaping, especially of blades, is much easier.
