Chemical conversion

(Chromate treatment of Mg/Al materials, phosphate treatment of steels)
An aqueous solution reacts with the component surface and produces a chemical conversion coating without the need for an external power source. These coatings are excellent bond coats for paints and protect the components from corrosion.
