Degree of reaction
The degree of reaction is ratio between the specific flow work in the rotor (static change over rotor) and the specific flow work between inlet and outlet of the stage (static change over stage). Depending on the approximation of the static change by means of polytropic or isentropic line and isobar the polytropic or isotropic degree of reaction is obtained.
