Diffusion bonding

This technique serves to join components in high-temperature nickel and cobalt materials that cannot be fusion-welded. In the process, a thin coat of "brazing alloy" is applied to the surfaces to be joined that melts during the subsequent joining and heat treatment cycle and re-solidifies after having make contact between the surfaces to be joined.
