Laser powder cladding
Laser powder cladding is a repair process, for example, for damaged or worn blade tips and consists in the application of a metal powder by means of a laser beam. This process is comparable to welding, with the laser beam being the heat source and a suitable metal powder the filler material. It is suitable for repairing very small damage.
