Mixer
A mixer is a sheet-metal cone at the rear end of some engines which, owing to its special wavy form, ensures intensive mixing of the high-velocity and thus loud exhaust gases exiting the low-pressure turbine with the slowly flowing bypass air. This results in a marked reduction of noise levels.
