Propfan

The propfan is the turbojet engine of the future. Optimized concepts for compressor, combustion chamber and turbine help increase the engine performance and reduce weight and fuel consumption. Environmental friendliness also plays an important role. The new propfan features a huge fan propeller which is driven by a turbine and allows bypass ratios of 15:1 or more to be achieved. Fuel consumption, noise and emissions are significantly reduced.
