Slurry coatings
Slurry coatings are paint coats with inorganic binders that protect the base material against corrosion and oxidation and can be exposed to operating temperatures of up to 600°C. The liquid paints consist of chromium and phosphorus compounds with pigments of aluminum or zinc oxide powders. The two-coat paints are applied by spraying. Both coats are stoved at 350°C following flashing-off and drying at 80°C. The stoving cycle produces an inorganic binder that encloses the pigment particles.
