Supersonic aircraft
Flight velocities of several Mach markedly reduce travel times over long distances. For economic and ecological reasons the engine technology plays an important role, since the engines must be capable of producing the necessary thrust to power such aircraft and at the same meet today's consumption, noise and emission requirements. Therefore, the development of such propulsion system is a particularly complex task.
