MTU has been cooperating with Pratt & Whitney Canada since 1993 on the PW500 engine for medium-size business jets. MTU has a stake of 25% in this program.
Engines of the PW500 family are two-shaft turbofans. MTU's contribution includes the complete low-pressure turbine including the exit casing and the mixer for the PW530 and PW545 models.
