Zhuhai, China, Munich, November 12, 2012 – In order to meet the growing expectations of the global aviation market, MTU Maintenance Zhuhai, a joint venture between Germany’s leading engine manufacturer MTU Aero Engines and  China Southern Air Holding Company, has extended its main engine repair shop by 5,900 square meters to increase the overall capacity by 50 percent from currently 200 to 300 shop visits per year. “We are very proud of this milestone,” said Dr. Stefan Weingartner, President Commercial Maintenance and member of the board at MTU Aero Engines, at the opening celebration.

Munich, October 23, 2012 – MTU Aero Engines Holding AG continues to grow: In the first nine months of 2012, the company posted an increase in revenues of 19% to €2,468.0 million (1-9/2011: €2,067.3 million). Operating profit1 rose by 13% from €245.3 million to €278.0 million. The operating margin reached 11.3% after 11.9% in the equivalent period last year, while earnings after tax2 also increased, climbing by 17% to €173.1 million (1-9/2011: €147.7 million).

Munich, July 25, 2012 – MTU Aero Engines Holding AG is making good progress toward its growth targets: by the end of June 2012, the Group had increased its revenues by 16% to €1,559.0 million (1-6/2011: €1,346.5 million). Operating profit1 rose by 7% from €164.4 million to €175.8 million, resulting in an operating profit margin of 11.3% (1-6/2011: 12.2%). Net income2 also registered a significant increase of 11%, rising to €109.7 million (1-6/2011: €98.4 million).

Munich, July 12, 2011 – This year’s Farnborough International Airshow on the outskirts of London turned out to be very successful for MTU Aero Engines: Germany’s leading engine manufacturer reports orders worth around 1.3 billion euros. “This marks an all-time high in MTU’s history. Munich, July 6th, 2012 - Sagem (Safran group) and MTU Aero Engines today announced the signature of an agreement to form a 50/50 joint venture, AES Aerospace Embedded Solutions GmbH  to provide safety-critical software and hardware for military and civil aviation applications. Munich, June 29, 2012 – Germany’s leading engine manufacturer is strengthening its role in the International Aero Engines (IAE) consortium, laying the foundation for future revenue and earnings growth. MTU Aero Engines, for its part, has increased its overall stake in the IAE V2500 engine program by five percentage points, effective June 29, 2012 , via a separate risk revenue sharing agreement with Pratt & Whitney.

Vancouver, June 22, 2012 – After a significant increase of its accessory repair business over the past years, MTU Maintenance Canada, a  North American affiliate of MTU Aero Engines  has opened a new Accessory Repair Centre (A.R.C.), allowing the company to offer customers increased accessory repair capabilities and a wider product portfolio. “The new accessory  shop in Vancouver together with the expansion of our services show that MTU Maintenance is increasingly present in the MRO market,” said Dr. Stefan Weingartner, President, Commercial Maintenance at MTU Aero Engines.
