Low-pressure plasma spraying

Low-pressure plasma spraying

Low-pressure plasma spraying is performed in a controlled atmosphere in a vacuum chamber. Using an automated process, the components are pre-heated, cleaned with an electric arc, coated and then cooled. Low-pressure plasma spraying produces very dense low-oxide hot-gas corrosion-protection coatings in metallic materials that adhere well to the substrate. Moreover, the process is suitable for thin to very thick coatings.
