Vericor's TF50 gas turbine family is comprised of three members. The TF50B marine gas turbine powers numerous ships, for example the Visby-class corvettes of the Swedish Navy or luxury yachts, such as the Pershing 115. The TF50F gas turbine is designed for applications in the oil and gas production industry. For commercial applications of the TF50A, Vericor has developed the new Integrated Turbine Control Panel, which combines all control functions for the gas turbine and reduction gearbox, the cockpit interface and the local operating panel into one single unit.
MTU's affiliate Vericor Power Systems is headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, U.S.. The company is an original equipment manufacturer for marine and industrial gas turbines and offers complete engines as well as marine propulsion systems, including control units, accessories and inlet and exhaust systems. With more than 50 years of heritage originating with the Lycoming Engine Company, the rugged TF series gas turbines have accumulated hundreds of thousand of hours in military and commercial service around the world.
