MTU @ Paris Air Show 2023

Turning visions into reality – that has always been the device of MTU Aero Engines. At this year’s Paris Air Show, we will therefore once again present innovative technologies for the engines of tomorrow under the motto "Driven by visions of tomorrow”.

The highlights are the fair exhibit – which interactively explains the technologies behind MTU’s high-pressure compressor and low-pressure turbine in detail using a stylized turbofan – and the WET and Flying Fuel CellTM models. There are also MTU’s maintenance services to discover, which will be presented in the form of an interactive holo-touch exhibit.

Visitors will be able to experience augmented reality on the EJ200 Eurofighter engine, and we will also be presenting the concept ideas for the engine of the new European Next Generation Fighter (NGF).

Furthermore, the company’s latest acquisition is being introduced to the public for the first time: the German electric motor developer eMoSys GmbH with which the MTU plans to accelerate the use of electric motors in aviation and make them market-ready.

Want to find out more? You can find all of MTU’s highlights here. You’re also welcome to visit us in Hall 2A, booth No. C254 from June 19 to 25, 2023. We look forward to seeing you!

Building an engine requires the skills of many specialists. MTU's engine builders all make their own important contribution to the product. AEROREPORT spent a day with ten of them at the Munich site.

  • A brief guide: FCAS

As a composite system consisting of various platforms and components, the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) will be significantly more effective than previous air defense systems. We take a detailed look at the "System of Systems".
