Power for helicopters

The PT6 turboshaft engines—the PT6B, -C, and -T—are designed to power single- and twin-engine helicopters. The engines in the 1,000- to 2,000-shaft horsepower class are very popular, thanks to their reliability and durability. The new PT6C-series engines, such as the PT6C-67, come with Full-Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC).

MTU's involvement in the PT6B/-C/-T

Maintenance is carried out via the Pratt & Whitney Canada Customer Service Centre—a joint venture between MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg and Pratt & Whitney Canada.
