Manufacturing processes – High-technology inside and out

Engines are high-tech products. In their production, innovative technologies and processes are used. To keep current technologically, MTU develops innovative manufacturing techniques.

One of these processes is lasercaving, for which the company holds a worldwide patent. Cooling air holes are shaped three-dimensionally applying 10,000 or more laser shots per second. The method produces holes of superior cooling action.
