MTU Maintenance Australia

Founded in 2014, MTU Maintenance Australia, based in Perth, Western Australia, specializes in the maintenance of aircraft engines and industrial gas turbines.

The location holds CASA Part 145 approval for GE engines CF34-10E and CFM56-7B, two of the world’s most widely used engines in commercial aviation. MTU Maintenance is therefore the only provider in the South Pacific offering on-site services for commercial aircraft engines.

In the field of industrial gas turbines, the site specializes in Level 2 services for the LM2500™ and LM6000™ gas turbines from GE’s LMTM series. The on-site service offered is crucial for mining operators, the energy sector, and the oil and gas industry.

The team in Perth offers a wide range of maintenance tasks, including borescope inspections and blending, repair and maintenance work, as well as on- and near-wing repairs. By doing so, the site supports both airline customers and operators of industrial gas turbines reliably and efficiently.

MTU Maintenance Australia is part of the Global On-Site Service Network, which oversees the worldwide network of MTU's on-site locations. The central team in Ludwigsfelde, Germany, manages the global business and supports the local sites—for deployments on aircraft wings as well as at industrial facilities worldwide.
