The F110-GE-129 shares more than 80 percent parts commonality with the F110-GE-100, which has been in service since 1986. Since entering service in 1992, the F110-GE-129 has proven to be one of the most successful fighter engines in U.S. Air Force history and has established a track record of excellence that is unmatched by any engine in its class. The F110-GE-129 powers the F-15 and F-16 fighter aircraft.
MTU manufactures low-pressure compressor disks for the F110-GE-129.
