MTU Maintenance Lease Services opens parts supply warehouse in China

| Parts supply warehouse in Zhuhai complements locations in the Netherlands and U.S.

| Serviceable material support for CF6-80, CFM56, GE90 and V2500 engines

Amsterdam, August 19, 2025 | MTU Maintenance Lease Services B.V., the leasing and asset management arm of MTU Maintenance, has opened a state-of-the-art parts supply warehouse in Zhuhai, China – the third of its kind.

This strategic move rounds off the company's existing parts supply infrastructure in the United States and the Netherlands, resulting in a comprehensive and seamlessly connected global logistics network that meets the highest standards in the industry. The new facility supports key engine programs, including the CF6-80, CFM56-5B/7B, GE90 and V2500, providing crucial resources for operators and MRO providers throughout the region. Operated by Kuehne+Nagel, the MTU Maintenance Lease Services warehouse provides MTU Maintenance Zhuhai, MTU’s joint venture and MRO location in Asia, as well as the Asia-Pacific aviation market with its extensive portfolio of aftermarket material.

“With warehouses strategically located around the globe, we are uniquely positioned to respond swiftly to customer needs, no matter where they are,” says Patrick Biebel, Managing Director at MTU Maintenance Lease Services. “The Zhuhai addition exemplifies our commitment to providing rapid and reliable access to essential engine parts, which minimizes operational downtime and ensures efficient support for our customers within China and the APAC region.”

The new Zhuhai warehouse features bonded storage, guaranteeing the shipment of parts either on the same day of order or within a 24-hour timeframe, seven days a week and 365 days a year. Each shipment is accompanied by complete digital documentation, ensuring compliance and traceability, which are vital in today's regulatory environment.

The partnership with Kuehne+Nagel ensures the efficient handling of export, import, warehousing and transportation processes, providing dependable support even in urgent situations such as aircraft-on-ground events or immediate line-replaceable-unit needs.

“MTU Maintenance Lease Services operates in a highly dynamic and time-sensitive environment, and we are proud to provide the logistics expertise that supports their global operations and responsiveness,” says Damian Raczynski, Head of Contract Logistics, Asia Pacific.

MTU’s warehouse services are designed to be both scalable and flexible, deftly adapting to the evolving requirements of its customers. In 2024, it opened a similar warehouse at MTU’s location in Fort Worth, Texas, in partnership with PGL. With the entry into service of the parts facility in Zhuhai, the Amsterdam-based leasing and parts management expert’s network now spans the entire globe with fast and efficient services.
