Respecting people and the planet

The protection of human rights is a central and all-encompassing concern for MTU. This goes beyond social labor standards and basic rights for our employees to include the upholding of human rights in our supply chain. We are also committed to sustainable climate action and environmental protection at our sites in order to secure a future worth living.

Responsibility in the supply chain

We fully respect the internationally proclaimed human rights set out in the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and we apply that to the supply chain as well. Our suppliers undertake to uphold human rights by means of our Supplier Code of Conduct. That includes requirements for appropriate pay, occupational health and safety, and expectations regarding environmental protection and climate action.

Equal opportunities and fairness in the work environment

We respect the human rights of our employees and are committed to equal opportunities. We firmly reject discrimination in the workplace. We want our employees to treat each other with respect and appreciation across all hierarchical levels. Trust-based, open collaboration is just as important to us as fair working conditions. This also includes the right to freedom of assembly and association.

Compliance with environmental standards

Our products, services, and business activities can have an impact on the climate and the environment—and thus on people’s living conditions. That is why, in addition to upholding human rights, we also ensure compliance with environmental standards within the company and in the supply chain.
