  • Take overall technical responsibility for aircraft engine during shop visit, including defining disassembly and repair scopes based on customer requirements, service life, OEM specifications, and MTU standards.
  • Prepare and execute work scopes for individual engines or fleets, ensuring high-quality maintenance, optimized turnaround time (TAT), and cost efficiency.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (e.g., quality, logistics, account management, Engine Workscope Team) to ensure smooth execution of engine shop visits.
  • Analyze engine and component conditions, assess performance impacts, and recommend actions balancing operational efficiency, cost, and lead time.
  • Review and implement OEM modifications and procedures into MTU systems; liaise with OEMs for clarification and technical deviations.
  • Support sales and account management in proposal development and contract negotiations.
  • Conduct technical review meetings with customers, analyze fleet removal reasons, and advise on maintenance strategies and operational improvements.
  • Promote innovation, cost-saving initiatives, and continuous improvement. Utilize data analysis to develop efficient maintenance strategies for customer fleets.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or related field.
  • A&P License or P License preferred.
  • Experience with large engines in a shop environment.
  • Strong systems understanding, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Cross-cultural competence and experience in collaboration with international partners Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel and adapt to new processes and technologies.
