
As a Lean Manager, you will work together with our partners in operational and administrative areas to shape the path to operational excellence. You will be a key driver in advancing the Lean mindset at MTU. You will support MTU’s operational and administrative functions with pragmatic, audience-appropriate concepts and methods—from identifying improvement potential through achieving their improvement goals.
Lean Manager
Your tasks
- Implement MTU Shop floor and office management in close collaboration with MTU’s German Lean teams
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across operational and administrative teams, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and overall business performance.
- Deliver training, coaching, and hands-on facilitation in Lean leadership, process optimization, problem-solving, and continuous improvement tools.
- Present insights, progress, and recommendations to senior leaders and executive stakeholders, using data to influence decisions and drive alignment.
- Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to redesign processes, eliminate non-value-added activities, and embed sustainable ways of working.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business administration, industrial engineering and management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with a strong track record in change management, project management, and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience in Shopfloor Management and KPI Cascading
- Deep expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, process redesign, and operational excellence methodologies; PMP certification or Lean Six Sigma Belt preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective training sessions and workshops.
- Advanced communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate independently and manage competing priorities.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong partnerships across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams, along with the presence and credibility to influence decisions at all levels of the organization.
- Coaching certification or train-the-trainer credentials are preferred.
- German language proficiency is a plus.
