Tasks

  • Material resource planning and data maintenance in SAP based on system information received from performed production operations
  • Defining correct inventories in SAP in accordance with financial, operational and logistical aspects
  • Responsibility for ensuring sufficient availability of stocks of all indirect materials in the factory (identifying and monitoring open orders, initiating corrective actions if necessary, taking into account delivery deadlines,...)
  • Maintaining material master data. This includes material data with relevant specifications available as an indirect material catalog (tools, special tools, consumables, hazardous materials) for easier ordering by operations
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding production targets, deadlines, turnaround time (TAT), etc. and monitor indirect procurement trends and customer demand patterns to effectively support the materials planning function
  • Reporting on performance and cost estimates
  • Evaluation and analysis of all relevant data using advanced reporting tools such as Analysis for Office (AfO) and others
  • Supporting warehouse and operations in organizing and performing inventory counts as needed
  • Manage inventory issues caused by changes in operations work plans and repair schedules, delivery schedules and cancellations
  • Involvement and support of safety programs and protocols within the materials planning function
  • Order management
  • Creation of procurement requests (BANF - procurement requests)
  • Supporting other departments in analyzing offers, delivery deadlines, specifying technical, logistical and economic conditions
  • Supporting the clarification of material specifications between requesters, indirect procurement and suppliers
  • Setting material disposal parameters (trigger point and replacement quantities) for consumption-controlled material
  • Planning and implementation of site-related projects (defined problems)
  • Conducting on-the-job training for new employees and as part of supplementary training 

Requirements

  • University degree
  • Several years of professional work in inventory planning or materials management in the engine / manufacturing industry
  • High knowledge in materials management
  • Very good standard IT skills (PowerPoint, Excel - advanced, other analytical tools), especially SAP skills (focus on materials planning/logistics)
  • In addition to the above, it is necessary to be familiar with the use of BI tools, Access and SQL.
  • Good communication and presentation skills; analytical; independence in daily work; ability to work in a team
  • Advanced organizational skills, experience in people management, assertiveness desirable
  • English language (fluent written and oral communication)
