The Warehouse department, as part of the Operations Division, is responsible for providing the right material, in the requested amount, in the required condition, at the right location, on time, for the right customer, and at agreed costs. The role ensures efficient order flow, high adherence to schedules, short turnaround times, and cost-effective warehouse operations.

 

Tasks:

  • Lead the Warehouse team and manage daily warehouse operations.
  • Manage and coordinate Internal Transport, Toolcrib, Toolcenter, Central Warehousing (storage and order picking), and transport aids.
  • Plan, organize, execute, and monitor warehouse and logistics processes to ensure timely material supply to production lines.
  • Manage warehouse resources, including employees, logistics equipment, production facilities, and operating supplies.
  • Coordinate the storage, handling, and transportation of materials, spare parts, tools, indirect materials, hazardous goods, and hazardous waste in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Ensure proper receiving, inspection, classification, storage, and provisioning of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Manage inventory accuracy, warehouse maintenance, inventory checks, and surplus inventory.
  • Monitor warehouse performance, identify process improvements, and implement actions to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support investment and improvement projects (e.g. SAP improvements, equipment, warehouse layout, and organizational changes).
  • Collaborate with Operations, IT, Purchasing, Facility Management, Plant Development, and international business units to optimize logistics, warehouse, and import/export processes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain warehouse methods, standards, procedures, and department documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards.
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions to ensure continuous process improvement.
  • Plan and coordinate employee training, qualification, coaching, and development.
  • Support procurement activities by raising purchase requisitions for indirect materials when required.


Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience in warehouse process management and continuous improvement.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects and collaborate with multiple departments.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, and logistics processes.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP experience is an advantage).
  • Good understanding of quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills
