Best Engine MRO: Readers award MTU Maintenance 1st-place distinction

Munich, May 28, 2010 – MTU Maintenance has been honored with a prestigious distinction: The readers of international Aircraft Technology Engineering & Maintenance (ATE&M) magazine have chosen the company to be the world's Best Engine MRO. The ATE&M Awards are presented annually. What's special about them is that nomination and voting are decided by the publication's readership: entitled to vote are only employees from airlines and suppliers.

"The fact that MTU Maintenance was chosen by people from the aviation community makes the award all the more valuable, and is testimony to the tremendous trust our customers place in our work," commented Dr. Stefan Weingartner, MTU Aero Engines’ President and CEO, Commercial Maintenance. "I'm so proud to see MTU take home the top honors."

Nominations for the ATE&M Award were accepted in twelve categories, among them the Best Engine MRO, in which MTU Maintenance scored highest, winning out over General Electric, Lufthansa Technik and other renowned MRO providers.
